Our community thrives when we show up for each other. Whether you’re greeting guests, helping in the kitchen, or tending to our space, every contribution—big or small—makes a meaningful difference.

Ways to Serve

• Administrative – Various support tasks, including clerical

• Greeters/Stewards – Be the warm welcome that makes a difference.

• Kitchen Crew – Nourish our community on Sundays.

• Love the Building

  • Light maintenance (inc. minor tasks in our upstairs apartment)

  • Weekly cleaning

  • Manage supplies (paper and kitchen products)

  • Open/close and adjust heat as needed for rentals

• Spruce Up for Spring – Many “spring cleaning” tasks available, mostly at your convenience. Including garden maintenance: trimming, pruning, tree-topping, and summer watering

 

Fundraising & Community Building

• Divine Dining is on hiatus (for now!), but we need fresh ideas. Consider hosting a dinner, house concert, art show, or social gathering—we’ll support you!

Partnerships

• Sustainable Ballard – Rekindling our relationship, starting with Meaningful Movies.

• Ballard Food Bank – We regularly collect food and hygiene items for those in need.

• Community Outreach – Help us expand beyond our walls and deepen our impact.

Your Call to Action

• Service strengthens our connections, deepens our sense of belonging, and even enhances well-being. Studies show that giving back leads to greater happiness, purpose, and longevity.

 

• Step in. Step up. Be part of something bigger. Sign up for an hour, a regular shift, or a special project—just show up in a way that feels right for you. Talk to or email any one of our CORE Council members or there are forms on the back table in the sanctuary you can fill out.
